Scott is an Advisor at IMA Diligence Services and brings deep expertise in lending, turnaround management, and debt structuring. He presides over a wide range of debt types—including asset-based lending, specialty finance, high leverage, subordinated, and debtor-in-possession facilities—and works across diverse industries and collateral profiles. Scott has been with IMA Diligence Services since its inception and is known for providing practical, actionable alternatives when capital structures become challenged or need to evolve.
Earlier in his career, Scott served as an Audit Manager at FINOVA, where he managed the liquidation of more than $14 billion in assets. At Fremont Financial, he led the Audit Group and the firm’s Management Development Program. His background also includes serving as a litigation support expert in complex bankruptcy proceedings, adding to his practical understanding of distressed situations and legal frameworks.
Scott studied Business and History at the University of Cincinnati and holds designations as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA). In 2016, Scott received the SFNet Lifetime Achievement Award, and in 2019, he was inducted into the inaugural SFNet Hall of Fame for his enduring contributions to the industry.
