Matt oversees the scoping, budgeting, and scheduling of lender diligence and quality of earnings engagements across domestic and international markets. He ensures projects are well-defined from the outset, aligning client objectives with clear scope, accurate budgeting, and realistic timelines. In addition to leading project planning, Matt reviews deliverables, maintaining consistency across engagements, and provides direct oversight to uphold IMA Diligence Services’ high-quality standards. He is also closely involved in client relationship management and serves as a key internal coordinator across the firm’s diligence portfolio. Through this combination of technical expertise and operational leadership, Matt helps position IMA as a trusted partner for lenders, private equity firms, and corporate clients.
With deep experience in both M&A and lender due diligence, Matt has advised strategic partners across North America, Australia, and Europe on transactions ranging from $1 million to $250 million. He has led transaction advisory teams on a variety of acquisition and debt structures, focusing on delivering actionable insights to clients in an efficient, value-added manner. In 2018, Matt launched IMA’s first international office in London, extending the firm’s global reach and client service capabilities.
Prior to joining IMA, Matt worked in the Assurance practice at PwC, where he performed financial statement audits and quarterly reviews across multiple industries, building a strong foundation in accounting, reporting, and client service.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a licensed CPA in Illinois. He is also a recipient of the Secured Finance Network’s 40 Under 40 Award, recognizing his leadership and contributions to the finance industry.
